No Mini-Movie for Potter Prequel

JK Rowling has recently revealed that her 800-word prequel, which was auctioned earlier this year to benefit charity, will not be turned into a miniature movie.

"JK Rowling has not written scripts for any films based on the Harry Potter 'prequel' or otherwise, as part of the theme park or any other purpose."

Warner Bros. has denied rumors concerning JKR's supposed story for the upcoming attraction in Florida as well.

Emma Watson Finishes A-Levels!

Emma Watson, the actress who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, updated the journal on her official website to tell her fans that she has finished her A-Levels.

Difficult to say how I've done and like the rest of the country I won't find out for several weeks. But I can hand on heart say I've barely left my room these past few weeks and totally given it my all and that's the main thing. And now I've got a million things to catch up on, people to see, letters to write and mostly importantly, a summer to enjoy!

Well done, Emma, and good luck for your results!

Thanks to Mugglenet.

Potter Puppet Pals Review

As Potter fans, we've all seen the YouTube videos about Severus Snape and his comrades singing along to a Mysterious Ticking Noise. Well, as it turns out, we're not the only fans out there.

NewTeeVee Station, a new online-video critic site, has written a smashing review of Neil Cicierega's Puppet Pals series. The review mentions that not only has PPP won YouTube's 2007 Comedy Award, it has also been recognized as the #2 Most Discussed Comedy of All Time on YouTube, #3 Most Viewed Comedy of All Time on YouTube--and no wonder, considering it's been viewed over 42 million times!

JK Rowling & Daniel Radcliffe on Forbes 'Celebrity 100' list

Both JK Rowling and Daniel Radcliffe have made it onto the Forbes 'Celebrity 100' list. JK Rowling places in at number 9, while Daniel Radcliffe is at number 64.

It was wizardry that transformed J.K. Rowling from a destitute single mother on welfare into a best-selling billionaire. Her adventures of teenage magician Harry Potter and his classmates at Hogwarts became a children's literary sensation in 1998 with the U.S. publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It and the six subsequent books have now sold 375 million copies worldwide. The final one, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, has sold 44 million since it was published last July, including 15 million in the first 24 hours.

About Daniel Radcliffe they have this to say:
Last summer the British-born boy wizard, 18, signed a jaw-dropping contract worth an estimated $50 million to continue his leading role in the last two installments of the Harry Potter series. (The final story, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, has since split into two movies, meaning even more cash for him.) He also played the title role in the BBC's TV movie My Boy Jack, a World War I story about Rudyard Kipling's ill-fated son, and he'll be baring all on Broadway in Equus.
